4 New Intern Positions Posted!

Hi everyone! Intern Sales Representative- Boston, MA

Position Summary
The Intern Sales Representative is responsible for a territory of 20-25 stores, owning the order and merchandising processes to drive incremental sales for Dannon and provide direction pertaining to category management insights. Some of the responsibilities include:
• Work with Dairy manager 1-3 times a week to ensure ample inventory for normal and promotional volume
• Maintain distribution of all authorized products within assigned territory and sell in incremental distribution
• Build and maintain rapport with store personnel in order to meet both customer and Dannon Key Performance Indicators (KPI's). Ensure that all store activity aligned to both Customer and Dannon KPIs.
• Collaborate with store management to increase space and merchandising activities/programs allocated to the Yogurt category
• Maintain store shelf standards and inventory, including rotation of products and maximize at-shelf availability and visibility across Dannon’s portfolio of products.
• Supply and place point of sale materials.
• Assist in the design and implementation of shelf plan-o-grams (schematics, diagrams).
• Deliver store/market -specific strategies (in alignment with Dannon’s national strategies)
• Recognize and raise local needs to Dannon Customer Business Manager (managing regional and national accounts) in effort to leverage business-building opportunities
• Translate category story (provided by Dannon Category Management team) into well-developed action plan.

Qualifications
• Pursuing a 4 Year College Degree (preferably in Business or related field)
• Sales or Customer Service experience with exposure to or strong interest in the grocery industry a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Self Motivated and results driven
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong follow-up and attention to detail as well as planning and organizational skills
• Works well with others on the collaboration of common goals as well as independently
• Access to reliable transportation and willingness to travel
• Traveling/in the field 4 – 5 days per week minimum
• Some physical labor required, including occasional lifting up to 50lbs

Public Relations Intern- White Plains, NY

Position Summary
This position will also assist Dannon in the monitoring, reporting of and engagement in social media related to Dannon’s products and issues related to the company. The Public Relations Intern provides support to the Senior Director of PR in the following areas: Social and conventional media monitoring and evaluation, coordination between PR agency, Brand teams and Dannon’s Consumer Care team, and follow-up with journalists, bloggers, etc. per direction from the Senior Director of PR. This intern will establish a system for evaluating and reporting about on-line discussion about Dannon’s products and topics of importance to the company. Identify and route issues accordingly; track key bloggers, twitterers, etc. of interest and classify them based on content and visibility/credibility; prepare analysis and tracking of trends; provide updates for at least once per week to brand/marketing and Consumer Care teams.

Job Dimension
This position is limited in decision-making and is an authorized liaison with media (traditional and social/on-line) only when using pre-approved documents and at the direction of the Senior Director of PR. The Intern does not manage a budget. Occasional day travel to New York City will be required.

Key elements that could motivate a candidate
The successful candidate will be exposed to journalists, public relations agencies, and corporate executives. This will provide the successful candidate with a unique experience to help shape their understanding about how manufacturing companies operate and how corporate reputation is shaped and managed. This temporary, summer position is created to add to the capacity of Dannon Public Relations while providing a learning opportunity for a college/undergraduate student with an interest in Public Relations.

Qualifications
- Currently pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations or Communication
- Prior experience in related field a plus.
- Working practical PR industry knowledge
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Projects an image of confidence and presence
- High energy and enthusiasm
- Proactive
- Strong people skills with the ability to perceive subtle cues
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to translate strategic priorities into easy-to-understand language

- Language: Multi-lingual (French or Spanish) preferred
- Superior listening and writing skills, preferably with a keen interest in food/beverages, news/journalism and social media.

Sales Intern-Cincinnati, OH

Position Summary
The sales intern will be responsible for working on a project that would help us capture more space for the category and specifically, the Dannon brand. Current space restrictions has been identified as a key limiter to growth in the U.S. This internship project will revolve around the question: "How can we get more space for the category and Dannon"?

Additional responsibilities will include:
• Work closely with a team and mentor
• Evaluate the impact and show results
• Attend intern trainings and events
• Deliver final project(s) of highest quality that can have a positive impact on the business
• Network/partner with peers, managers, buddies, HR and colleagues in other functions
• Present to leadership team at the end of the internship program

Job Dimension
Customer planograms, IRI space sales data...many of the current category management tools would be incorporated to conduct the analysis.

Current Context
The biggest challenge we face in this area is that current Dannon employees see and hear what the barriers and restrictions are to gaining space for the category. A new perspective, which the intern would bring, might open up new possibilities that we haven't considered. Short term objectives would be to identify key customers that are underspaced and propose solutions to gain it in those accounts. Intern would work with various category management and sales personel in order to gather info and conduct the project.

Key elements that could motivate a candidate
1) This is the biggest initiative Sales has...we don't continue to grow without more space
2) This project would build solid analytical skills that will be valuable to any business career choice they may make
3) High visibility within the Sales organization

Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field
- Basic Microsoft application skills (Excel, PowerPoint),
- Strong eagerness to learn and contribute
- Strong Communication skills
- Stong Analytic skills
- Experience in a Corporate environment a plus
