On Premise Area Sales Manager - Northeast USA

Job Summary and Responsiblities
- Responsible for all on premise sales activities within the assigned geographic territory.
- Manage Distributor; including developing yearly business plans.
- Select and appoint new distributors as needed; including first hand negotiations and contract development.
- Responsible for calling on national, regional and local key account clients as assigned
- Manage Area’s Trade budget.
- Coach, mentor, develop and manage a team of up to 5 direct reports.
- Actively and aggressively develop new accounts; aligned with the business strategy.
- Provide 12 month rolling volume.
- Lead in negotiating agreements with select existing key accounts (national and local) as assigned with a focus on ROI.
- Partner with distributors to promote, incentivize, motivate and focus distributor reps in ensuring optimum sales and exposure of products in targeted accounts.
- Efficient communication of all sales tools, activities, advertising to Distributor personnel for execution.
- Lead in performance reviews and update sessions with select accounts and distributors.
- Develop forecasting, product supply and assist in the region’s inventory level management to ensure optimum level of product flow.
- Notes any account changes in competitive products and communicates to the Corporate.
- Manage field sales team; mentoring, coaching, developing to ensure maximum impact by team. Also, develops succession planning and career development of Team.
- When required: ability to lift and deliver product samples / POS to customers
- Actively seek out new customers and partners.
- Provide input to Trade Marketer on POS and merchandising tools needed.
- Managing within agreed to budget Trade and T&E.
- Implement and manage Wait Staff training in the region.

Qualifications
- Proven On-Premise professional with a minimum of 5+ years CPG experience.
- Experience in distributor selection and negotiations.
- Basic selling skills, ability to understand and sell in programs to the on premise channel.
- Minimum 2 years premium consumer product sales experience preferably to the restaurant and/or hotel industries.
- Minimum 2 years sales leadership experience, including people management and development. - Ability to effectively operate in a multi-dimensional, complex. environment and interact with all levels in organizations.
- Fundamental understanding of business planning and marketing plan knowledge.
- Ability to cultivate growth using analytical skills while viewing financial data to evaluate the profitability of a new account.
- Facility with numbers, numerical information, and basic trade math.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
