Plant Cost Accountant- Minster, OH

Position Summary
This position exists in a manufacturing plant to learn Dannon Operations Finance in the area of reporting of plant financial results, fixed assets, month end close, efficiency reporting, material loss and labor variance follow up.

This position provides timely and specific financial information to assist Operations Management Team in making informed decisions.

This position will be entry-level with a focus on Dannon Operations Finance which includes milk accounting, loss & labor analysis inventory control, fixed asset accounting, spare parts, controllable cost control, utility tracking and internal controls in a continuous improvement environment. Job functions will rely heavily on Microsoft Excel & SAP. Development will revolve around a rotational training development plan, capacity to analyze key performance indicators and their impact on plant operations, and the ability to work with multiple functional groups at the Plant level. This position will be a growth position with transition plan into senior accountant role after 1-2 years. Responsibilities will include:

- Input/learn/report weekly key performance indicators and ensure their accuracy to understand and communicate impact of these measure to the business.
- Quickly analyze data, identify variances and benchmark information against other locations.
- Learn plant cost accounting functions with an emphasis on month end close, material loss and labor variance analysis, spare parts, fixed assets and report preparation for use by Corporate HQ and local plant management.
- Ability to find gaps in financial controls & analysis and develop effective processes, which close the respective shortfalls.
- Execute effective analysis of material flow impact on inventory controls with ability to determine gaps and plan corrective actions.
-Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize in a Continuous Improvement manufacturing environment.

Qualifications
- BA or BS in Accounting
- 0 to 2 years experience
- Information systems understanding (SAP)
- Excellent MS Excel and Word skills
- Ability to communicate complex accounting information verbally and in writing
- Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, prioritize, adaptability, flexibility
- Solid interpersonal, analytical and technical skills

Position Summary

As part of the Dannon North American SSD industrial investments (CAPEX) team, the primary purpose of this position is to manage related projects at one of the three US plants located in West Jordan, Utah, Fort Worth, Texas and Minster, Ohio. The SSD CAPEX Manager will need to have proven project management, communication, collaborative, analytical and negotiation skills.

Position functions:
• Implementation of sourcing strategies aligned to the Category sourcing team strategies
• Project management – involved and contributes to each phase of the CAPEX projects (start, request for quotes, negotiation, supplier selection, contracting, project execution, project closing); the individual will be co-leader with the Industrial team to guarantee successful starts & completions of projects with respect to budget, quality and timing
• Category management; Establish and develop sourcing strategies for a key market such as process, packaging utilities or construction
• Supplier relationships – set targets as well as to manage & evaluate supplier performance
• Budgeting process - involvement with the Industrial and Finance teams toward preparation and control during the year, including costs & productivity management
• Project financial management – preparation of capital requests and analysis of supplier quoted cost as well as solution’s total cost of ownership in order to present most cost effective solution
• Financial Reporting - analysis, control and animation of the CAPEX results;
• Methodology – strict adherence to regulation and food safety standards for 100% of the projects
• Networking with SSD peers; acts as a catalyst in bringing forward best practices, cross project leverage & knowledge and collaboration

Qualifications
• BS degree in engineering or business focus on production management and industrial experience
• 3 - 5 years or related experience
• Demonstrated collaborative & network animation capabilities
• People management: although the position does not involve direct reports, the individual must demonstrate future capability as well as demonstrated cross-functional / peer to peer leadership through coaching and stewardship
• Project management skills and behavior
• Curious, open minded, ability to work in multicultural environment and easily adaptable
